Mafia is basically what GTA is, but set in the late 1940s and early 1950s. The game is set in the stunning ambience of the post World War era. The gameplay offers an open-world where you can engage in hand-to-hand combat, and gunfights.
Mafia II is a 2010 action-adventure game developed by 2K Czech and published by 2K Games. It was released in August 2010 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360; Mafia II: Director's Cut was released by Feral Interactive in December 2011.

Story
The storyline for Mafia II is a gritty drama and chronicles the rise of Vito Scaletta, the son of Sicilian immigrants. As the game progresses, Vito joins the Falcone Crime Family and becomes a "made man", as does his best friend Joe Barbaro.
Vito Scaletta Vito Scaletta is the protagonist of Mafia II. After getting caught in a botched robbery, he is forced to join the U.S. Army and sent to fight in World War II.
